April 27.
Not a great deal to report except for steady progress - drinking normally now and hope to start taking solids by mouth in the next week or so. UCLH have been very supportive - the NHS at its best - lets hope this miserable government doesn't totally destroy it.
Off to Norfolk for a few days in the country and hopefully some decent cycling - also just a little bit further away from the ghastly wedding!

Slowly improving. Speech is becoming normal and throat isn't as sore as it was. By the end of April I'm hoping to be eating some soft foods normally. Still very tired, but if I nap during the day I find sleeping at night difficult! Getting in a couple of miles walk a day and we went to a local theatre yesterday. Also settling in to doing a bit more academic work and being more sociable.

No real corners turned yet but voice is improving and getting about a bit more. Main problem is swallowing but that's being worked on.
